At a special event hosted by Life in Iowa on Tuesday, March 24, from 5-6 pm in 1117 University Capitol Centre, learn why the U.S. census is important and if international students can participate in it or not. 

Featured speaker: 

John Elson is the federal and state information librarian.  His experience with government information goes back to 1999, when he became a library assistant in the former Government Publications department.  As a member of the research and library instruction department at the UI, he works to provide needed information to the greater University of Iowa community.  

The Life in Iowa program is an extended orientation series throughout the year that offers workshops on academics and other topics, cultural events, career information, and social events.
