ESG conference Dec. 5 to address a changing European Union

“From Enthusiasm to Skepticism: a Changing European Union” is the theme of this year’s European Studies Conference, to be held Friday, December 5, 2014, at the University of Iowa. See the event poster.

The sixth-annual European Studies Conference will explore Europe and its links to the world from diverse areas of scholarship. The event is free and open to the public and will be held in 315 Phillips Hall from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. with lunch provided.

Michael Johns  of Laurentian University, Ontario, and John Gillingham of the University of Missouri - Saint Louis will each present a keynote address at the conference. Other presenters from the University of Iowa include Waltraud Maierhofer (German), Martin Lopez-Vega (Spanish & Portuguese), and Alexander Somek (College of Law).
