The above student and I have thoroughly discussed his/her research project. I have advised the student of his/her responsibilities. I understand that I, along with the student, am ultimately responsible for compliance with federal and University regulations concerning human subjects research.

UI Funded International Travel - Travel Warning Check
Please note this new International Programs policy regarding student travel (as of 2015-16)

Prior to consideration for UI funding for international travel, students must:

1. Verify their travel destination(s) are currently NOT under any U.S. DOS Travel Warning or an Alert.  To do this, students should visit the US DOS website and enter their destination(s) in the “Refine by Country” search bar. The student may continue with the application if no alert or warnings are posted.

2. If there is a current warning or alert, students must International Programs at safety-abroad@uiowa.edu to discuss proposed travel plans and request guidelines for drafting a travel proposal for International Programs Travel Advisory Committee (IPTAC) review. Funding will not be released without approval from IPTAC.
