Three Sinophone Writers Read From and Talk About Their Work promotional image

Chinese-language authors Qi Jin, Chun Sue, and Chu He-Chih will be reading from their work in Chinese, accompanied by English translations.

Qi Jin Nian is a widely published young novelist based in Chengdu. Novelist and poet Chun Sue, who gained fame with her first book Beijing Doll, currently writes in Berlin. Chu He-Chih has dedicated himself to creating fiction drawn from Taiwan’s history.

A conversation with the writers will follow the reading. The event will take place in the Main Library Gallery on Tuesday, 10/18, 12 noon - 1 pm. Lunch will be provided.

This event is sponsored by the UI Center for Asian and Pacific Studies, the International Writing Program, US Embassy in Beijing, the Paul & Hualing Engle Fund, and the Ministry of Culture Taiwan.
