Returnee Events

Every semester, UI Study Abroad hosts an informational session for returning study abroad students. During this event, we teach returnees how to leverage their study abroad experience for professional advancement. We also highlight additional international options outside of credit-bearing study abroad that might interest someone bitten by the travel bug. Here's a short list of the topics we'll try to cover:

  • Marketing your study abroad experience
  • Peace Corps
  • The Fulbright Program for international research and teaching opportunities
  • Work, internship, and volunteer abroad opportunities
  • International graduate programs

We have not yet set a date for the fall semester's session. Please continue to check back for more info. Recent returnees will receive an email about this and other events early in the fall semester.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact the study abroad office in advance at 319-335-0353 or study-abroad@uiowa.edu.
