Graduate Fellowships

Eligibility

Graduate and professional students are eligible to compete for limited funds if they are participating in a program offered through Study Abroad/University College, i.e. registered in an ABRD (165) course number. This merit scholarship applies only to the Summer & Short-Term scholarship, offered for programs during the Winter and Summer sessions. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

General Criteria
  • Academic and personal objectives which are clearly defined and realistic
  • Academic achievement and preparation
  • Quality and completeness of the project proposal
  • Contribution of the study abroad experience to the student's overall academic program
  • Evidence of maturity, motivation and adaptability to a different cultural environment
  • Demonstrated interest in learning about foreign cultures
  • Relative financial need, based on Financial aid Award Summary information
