"While no one can predict the future, we can be sure it will see further growth in the movement of people, symbols and products across nation-state borders--spurred by continuing innovations in technology. The 21st century will reward those with the flexibility to adapt to new situations and with strong intercultural communication skills (one of which is a thoughtful understanding of one’s own culture). No other experience that UI students can have prepares them for the future as powerfully as study abroad." --William Reisinger, former Dean of International Programs
