Graduate Fellowships

General Study Abroad Scholarships

Graduate students participating in a formal UI study abroad program are eligible for Summer & Short-Term Study Abroad Scholarships and/or Need Based Study Abroad Grants through the Office for Study Abroad.

Graduate students participating in non-UI study abroad programs are eligible if they complete a graduate student study abroad credit approval form (call 335-0353 and schedule an appointment with Phil Carls), receive approval from the Graduate College, and transfer the credit to the UI after completing the program.

Professional students are not eligible for these awards unless they are participating in a program offered through the Office for Study Abroad/University College, i.e. registered in a 165:XXX course number. (Most of the available scholarship assistance is made possible by set-aside tuition money generated by undergraduate and graduate students. Professional students do not contribute to this funding stream.)
