About John
John has been working in the Office for Study Abroad since 1999, and prior to that, worked in the Office of International Students and Scholars. He was the recipient of a German Academic Exchange Service scholarship and spent a year at the University of Goettingen translating radio drama. He earned his B.A. in English and his M.F.A. in Translation Studies at the University of Iowa.
John advises students bound for the U.K., Ireland, Germany, and some Scandinavian and Central European countries.
He is a member of the International Programs Environmental Committee and was elected to serve as a member of the IP Local Staff Advisory Council during 2007. John previously served on the International Programs Strategic Planning Committee.
