International Mondays: A Panel Discussion on Education Systems: Oman, Indonesia and India

Iowa City Public Library, Meeting Room AIn recognition of International Education Week, Foreign Language Teaching Assistants at the University of Iowa will discuss the education systems in Oman, Indonesia and India, as well as explain the similarities and differences between their country's education system and the US' education system. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Scott McNabb, UI College of Education.

Building Our Global Community: The Why’s and How’s of International Student Recruiting

University Capitol Centre, room 1117This workshop will cover current recruiting activities and objectives, the typical information requested and questions asked by prospective international students, how US education and UI in particular are presented to international students and their families, and the resources developed by University offices involved in international student recruiting. Faculty and staff who have professional contacts or overseas travel can use information from this session to provide answers and assistance to prospective students that they may meet.
