Services provided by IP Communications Department

Overview

The University of Iowa International Programs Communications Unit promotes International Programs and all of its affiliated offices, centers, projects, units, academic programs and affiliated community and students groups - working especially closely with the IP Outreach Unit and Events Coordinator. This is accomplished through a variety of communications venues (media, the Web, listservs, posters, and other print and online vehicles (posters, brochures and flyers.)

The International Programs Communications Unit develops, coordinates, and implements strategies to strengthen and maintain positive external relations for University of Iowa International Programs through effective communications and working closely with the IP leadership, outreach and all areas of IP through promotion and support of innovative projects and events. In addition to working with external constituents, unit staff serve as liaisons with University News Services, University Publications, the UI Webmaster and the UI Foundation communications and editorial experts, only to mention a few.

The communications staff members work closely with other professionals across campus and the community, especially with University Relations and News Services, University Publications, the UI Webmaster, the Center for Media Production, the Directors of External Relations and communications and outreach specialists for all 11 colleges, the UI Foundation Editorial and Web staff as well as the Office of Governmental Relations.
