Following the September 11th terrorists attacks, international students were nervous, but not fearful. Rather than arranging to go back home international students asked how they could help. According to Lois Gray, international students have been on e-mail frenzy back and forth with their families. Most students have not yet decided to go back home.

About 200 people gathered at the Shambaugh Auditorium to kick off the Middle East Education Week at the University of Iowa. The focus of a three-member panel discussed how the United States foreign policy has hurt innocent lives in the Middle East.
Upcoming evens include a program entitled "What Can We Learn From Alternative Media Sources?" and a Rally for Peace and Justice in the Middle East.
