Freshmen
Your initial year at the UI might be best spent taking business prerequisites, beginning a language, or working on General Education Program requirements. Also, the transition from high school to college is a big one. Study abroad is best left for a little later, but as early as the summer between your first and second years.
Sophomores
This is an excellent time to continue with General Education Program requirements overseas, begin or continue with a second language, finish up Business prerequisites, and/or work on Business Core Requirements.
Juniors
If you go abroad during your junior year, you will probably concentrate on major requirements and electives.
Seniors
This is a good time to finish up any remaining major courses or required electives.
