Danielle Dahl, a University of Iowa staff member in the College of Public Health’s Center for International, Rural and Environmental Health, is one of 14 Americans accepted into Young Turkey/Young America , a program designed to support and to promote the integration of young Turkish leaders in transatlantic dialogue on foreign policy issues.
This in-depth program pairs up 14 young emerging leaders from the two countries and gives them the opportunity to collaborate on projects, develop leadership skills and learn about the diverse national backgrounds of one another’s countries. Activities include participating in programs in both Washington, DC and Ankara, and experiential programs in both Turkey and America.
The program is facilitated by World Learning in partnership with the Foreign Policy Platform-Turkey, its US partner, the Cleveland Council on World Affairs, and is made possible through support from various sources, including FPP-US, previous grantees, and Turkish organizations.
