Faculty Involvement in Study Abroad

Study abroad is a credit-bearing academic experience that requires coordination and collaboration between Study Abroad and faculty at the University of Iowa. Students may consult faculty for assistance completing a "Credit Approval Form," a learning agreement that analyzes credit transfer from study abroad toward major, minor, or certificate program requirements.

Faculty members also develop and lead short-term study abroad programs, enriching the curricular offerings for UI students. And, faculty play an advisory role to Study Abroad as it advocates for further internationalization of the University of Iowa through its study abroad offerings.
