Title

Outreach & OISS Graduate Assistant

About Sunday

Sunday Goshit a graduate student in the Geography Department is Ngas from Plateau State in North Central Nigeria. He researches how spatial and temporal variability of precipitation affects snowpack over the mountainous Western Montana, the home of the pristine Glacier National Park.

Outside class work Sunday’s passion is to be with people, knowing them, discussing daily life, knowing their cultures and sharing the rich Nigerian/African culture. The highlight of this calling is the excitement of working as a Graduate Assistant with the International Crossroads Community this academic year. Over the years Sunday had volunteered in many events with the Outreach and Community Engagement and OISS units of the International Programs. He loves story-telling (African folklores) to elementary school kids.

Sunday loves the evenings with his wife and four children and most of the weekends with his family in the faith. One of his favorite places in Iowa is Kalona where he buys live goat and home grown chicken and have them dressed by his Amish friends the Millers.
