Academic Advising

The Office of International Students and Scholars serves international students in F-1 status, students in J-1 status, J-1 visiting scholars (researchers/professors/specialists/short term scholars), and their spouses/children in F-2 or J-2 status.

Non-immigrant visitors in F-1/J-1/F-2/J-2 status are subject to special federal laws regarding course registration and load, employment, travel, etc.  Advisers with the OISS are here to assist students and departments/advisers to navigate the regulations and other special considerations that international students face.  Please see the links and forms below for additional information.
