Immigration Document Review

All F-1 and J-1 students are required to attend two sessions related to immigration during orientation. The first is a presentation from ISSS called Immigration and Other Regulations, the second is the Immigration Document Verification.

The Immigration and Other Regulations session will provide you information on immigration and other legal responsibilities and benefits you have as an international student.  This is a mandatory session; attendance is required for the entire presentation – attendance will be taken.  It is recommended that you bring your passport, I-20 or DS 2019 form, I-94, and any other immigration documents with you.

During Immigration Document Verification, you will bring your passport, I-20 or DS 2019 form, I-94, and any other immigration documents to meet individually with an ISSS advisor.  The ISSS advisor will ensure that all of your documents are in order and will be able to answer some questions you may have.

Before you attend the Immigration Document Verification, it is important that you complete the iHawk Pre-arrival Checklist.
