The European Studies Group will present a guest lecture by Cristina Moreiras of the University of Michigan on "Critical Regionalism and Historical Reason in Spanish Documentary" at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27 in 315 Phillips Hall.

This event is free and open to the public. A light luncheon will also be served.

Cristina Moreiras is an associate professor of peninsular (Spanish) studies and women's studies at the University of  Michigan. Her research focuses on modern and contemporary Spain (including peripheral national communities such as Galicia, Catalonia and the Basque Country). She examines modern and contemporary issues from the theoretical perspectives of psychoanalytical, political and feminist thought.

This event is part of the European Studies Group (ESG) spring 2015 lecture series. ESG is part of UI International Programs.
