Introductory Taiji workshop will be held Oct. 9

Interested in learning Taiji?Interested in learning Taiji? Join the Confucius Institute at the University of Iowa for an introductory workshop on Taiji Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in 1117 UCC. See the event poster

The course fee is $50 and enrollment is open to ages 13 and up. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (though the adult does not have to participate). All students must sign a waiver to participate in this course. Enrollment and waiver forms are available at http://international.uiowa.edu/confucius/community-culture-courses.

Taiji was originally designed focus on self-defense, and has gradually evolved as an effective means for flexibility, relaxation, stress control, and overall health enhancement. In this session, students will learn fundamental Taiji movements: Ward-off, Roll Back, Press and Push in a Four Hands form.

No materials are needed for this class however students should remember to wear loose, comfortable clothing and light, flat shoes.
