Former Congressman Jim Leach, visiting professor at the College of Law and University of Iowa Chair of Public Affairs, will be speaking at a Fulbright Celebration Event Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 5:15 p.m. in 1117 University Capitol Centre. This event will celebrate the legacy of Fulbright programs here at the UI and provide information about the program to students and faculty who may be interested in applying.
The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government. It is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. International Programs administers the Fulbright U.S. Student Program at the UI and provides assistance for the Fulbright Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad program and faculty Fulbright awards.
