Faculty

The interdisciplinary International Studies program relies on the engagement of faculty across campus. This engagement provides faculty members with several benefits. They serve as mentors for International Studies majors, some of the University’s best undergraduates, as they plan and conduct their required senior research project, typically based on insights gained while studying abroad.

Faculty members can receive support to develop courses that enhance the B.A. program. They grow as both scholars and teachers as they collaborate with other faculty on international research activities, both on campus and overseas.

Our faculty directory helps faculty at Iowa connect with each other through shared scholarly interests. A similar directory connects students with faculty who have agreed to serve as faculty mentors.
