About the Program

Awards from the Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program are viewed as among the most prestigious appointments in the Fulbright Scholar Program. Eligible candidates should be distinguished scholars in their fields and have prominent records of scholarly accomplishment. The Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program grants approximately 40 lecturing, research and lecturing/research awards each year. The program awards range from 3 to 12 months. Applications for 2010-2011 program participation must be submitted on-line or postmarked by August 3, 2009.
