International Programs, in collaboration with the Chief Diversity Office, offers intercultural training simulation exercises and educational programs to help students and scholars and UI faculty and staff recognize differences and develop effective strategies to respond to them.
Bridging Domestic and Global Diversity
Bridging Domestic and Global Diversity is a diversity and leadership training program designed to educate students to adapt to cultural differences. It enhances understanding and connecting through diversity by acceptance and genuine appreciation.
Building Our Global Community
Earn a Global Certificate with Building Our Global Community! International Programs and UI Learning & Development offer workshops on skills and insights useful to faculty and staff as they seek to educate and serve our international community. Participants who complete the introductory workshop plus their choice of four specialized workshops will be awarded a global certificate.
Global@Iowa provides UI students with a unique experience in peer mentoring and leadership development. Students will enroll in Global@Iowa as Peer Mentors for incoming international students.
