The Martin Luther King Jr Research Symposium is an annual event which celebrates the work of students, engaging in diversity related research within the College of Education.  The award ceremony includes a keynote speaker, awards presented to the top research presentations sponsored by Phi Delta Kappa, and an opportunity for those in attendance to engage with the presenters about their respective projects.  The purpose of the annual Martin Luthr King Jr Research Symposium is to showcase graduate and undergraduate research projects (at all stages) related to diversity.  We encourage posters highlighting issues of diversity including (but not limited to): ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, class differences, and special populations in education.
