This years annual event hosted by the Multicultural Business Student Association welcomes two speakers: Ambassador Ron McMullen and Helen Jameson, the Founder of Culture Friendly Consulting, who will be discussing careers in foreign service, international diplomacy, and cross–cultural communication and conflict mediation. 

Food will be provided by Oasis Falafel, Best China, and India Cafe.

About the Speakers:

Ambassador Ronald McMullen has over 30 years of experience in the foreign service, and has been stationed in Sudan, Sri Lanka, Gabon, South Africa, and Burma. In his career he has traveled and worked in over 91 countries. He was a visiting professor at West Point and Diplomat in Residence at the University of Texas prior to becoming a visiting professor at the University of Iowa.

Helen Jameson, Founder of Culture Friendly Consulting, has developed, implemented, evaluated and managed the extensive intercultural training services offered through the International Programs at the University of Iowa. Helen specializes in intercultural consulting and training, cross–cultural communication and conflict mediation, cultural competency assessment, and leading efforts to create diverse, welcoming, and inclusive environments
