UI students who are interested in field–based research projects abroad are invited to attend an information session with SIT Study Abroad on Monday, February 24, from 6:30–7:30 p.m. in Room 1117 University Capitol Centre.
SIT Study Abroad is a pioneer in experiential, field–based study abroad programs. SIT offers semester and summer programs for undergraduate students in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, as well as comparative programs in multiple locations. SIT is unique in that all semester programs allow students to conduct undergraduate research through an Independent Study Project. All programs also focus on cultural immersion through fieldwork, intensive language study, and urban and rural homestays with local families.
Students are encouraged to attend to learn more about SIT study abroad programs as well as funding opportunities for international research.
