International Education Week Contests
Every year, International Programs - in conjunction with Study Abroad and International Student and Scholar Services - hosts a number of contests open to returning study abroad students as well as international students. Cash prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third place winners in all categories. Winning submissions will be featured via social media and at a WorldCanvass event Friday, November 2, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Old Capitol Senate Chamber. Photo Contest: Show us the World Through Your Eyes
The photo contest is open to UI students who have studied abroad and international students at the University of Iowa. Degree-seeking international students who have studied abroad may submit to either the study abroad student category or the international student category, but not both. Study abroad students should submit photos from their time abroad. International students are asked to submit photos of their impressions of the United States.
Study Abroad Video Contest: Uncharted Territory
The video contest is open to UI students that have studied abroad. Students will be asked to submit a ninety second video in response to a video IP will post on YouTube. This years theme will be left open
International Student Essay Contest: Coming to America
This essay contest is open to international students who have come to study at the University of Iowa.
