Volunteer / Intern at UICHR

InternsThe work of the University of Iowa Center for Human Rights (UICHR) depends upon the contributions of people like you. Our success is due to the commitment, inspiration and hard work of University of Iowa students and members of the greater Iowa City community who volunteer their time and diverse talents. Internship Information

The internship program allows students to advance knowledge and awareness of human rights issues through research, education and outreach.  Interns aid in the development of a diverse range of projects such as One Community One Book, Careers for Change Speaker Series, or Immigration Education Forums.  Interns may also have the opportunity to initiate and develop their own program or projects, along with participating in the development and operations of the UICHR.

Volunteer Information

The UICHR recruits volunteers to work on an as needed basis to assist with the promotion, planning and logistical undertaking of events and activities, as well to assist with office management needs.  Additionally, volunteers may also participate in one-time or continuous volunteer opportunities in the community as they arise via the Center for Human Rights.
