2010 Health Care & Promotion Practices Study Tour to Great Britain

The overall purpose of this popular study tour to Great Britain (offered since 1989) is to foster more health-related linkages and partnerships between the United States and England and Wales. A major focus of this study tour is having the participants become engaged in an in-depth professional and cultural experience to include planned, individualized work shadowing (practical experience) opportunities. Film producers Steven Engel and Heidi Reavis will discuss their film A Walk to Beautiful (http://www.walktobeautiful.com), which tells the stories of five Ethiopian women who suffered injury during childbirth and were ostracized by their communities.
