Research

There are many resources for FLARE students conducting research at The University of Iowa. An intuitive place to start is at the UI Libraries website, which introduces students to the workings and services of the libraries on campus. Infohawk, the university's online resource catalog, is a simple way to search for books, journals or other media.

When actually conducting research, students in FLARE may wish to take advantage of the tools offered in both the Information Arcade at The University of Iowa Main Library or at the Language Media Center (LMC) in Phillips Hall. The Information Arcade provides top-notch technology to students and faculty wishing to find fresh, new ways to present instructional materials. Likewise, the LMC is dedicated to providing language learners and instructors with facilities for language exercises, such as computer programs, videos and listening exercises.
