"International Study: Local Discovery" on "WorldPrairie," March 26
This University of Iowa-community collaboration, “WorldPrairie,” will feature a discussion with two UI students who have given back in unique ways on Friday, March 26, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at M.C. Ginsberg, 110 East Washington St. in downtown Iowa City. The event is free and open to the public.
This program, titled “International Study: Local Discovery,” will bring together the experiences of the following two individuals: Gyorgy Toth, from Hungary, a UI Ph.D. candidate in American studies; and Anne Campbell, founder of Confluence Tours, organizing travel to discover global social issues. They will discuss how their experiences have caused them both to critically study culture and give back to the world in creative ways.
M.C. Ginsberg, International Programs at the University of Iowa and City Channel 4 present “WorldPrairie.” The program will take place once a month on Friday evenings from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at M.C. Ginsberg. The program will later air on Channel 4 and on UITV. The goal is to provide an evening of relaxed conversation focusing on different international issues and themes.
