About Amy

Amy Green has been the secretary for two UI International Programs (IP) units—External Relations/Communications and Outreach--since January 2001. In the past, this native of Lone Tree, Iowa, has been a secretary for the engineering department of a manufacturing company in West Branch, Iowa, and for the Iowa Program for Assistive Technology at the UI Center for Disabilities and Development. When not at work, Amy volunteers her time to various causes. She has organized community blood drives in Lone Tree; helped out with educational program Global Village, which is a part of Iowa City’s annual Arts Fest; and is active in local politics.

In her spare time, Amy likes to read nonfiction books, watch films and attend lectures to keep informed of what’s going on in the country and around the world. Amy lives with two dogs--Rudy, a Bearded Collie mix, and Chaps, a Chinese Crested--and a cat named Elliot.
